There are plenty of free WordPress themes out there, and here’s some of the themes I like that won’t cost you a cent (you can donate, of course).
I’ll start off with the free themes at WordPress:
Free WordPress Themes directory. You can look at the most popular themes, the newest themes, the most recently updated, or just browse. There’s around 1200 of them so the choice is massive.
I also like Fresheezy – http://www.fresheezy.com/gallery – a nice selection of themes, and you can submit your own theme(s).
Free WordPress Themes has masses of themes to keep you busy – and they say … “Free WordPress Themes is a celebration of good design. We hand-picked a selection of WordPress themes that we think are worth using on your blogs”. Check it out.
At WThemes.com you can browse the themes by category (for example – 3 columns, or fixed-width) and you can browse by colour.
